Set up New Facility in Hawaii Is Planed by Maui Brewing

Maui Brewing is planning to set up a new brewery at the Kihei Research & Technology Park in Hawaii, US.

The new facility scheduled to open by January 2014 is expected to have a footprint of 41,000sqft with an 8,000sqft subsidiary brew pub.

Maui Brewing owner Garrett Marrero said that the company will use local products for making the beer in Hawaii.

"Sales are about 60 percent in Hawaii, with the rest exported to the Mainland and international markets," Marrero added.

The company expects to double its production capacity from over 20,000 barrels per year to 45,000-50,000 barrels per year with the new facility, according to lahainanews.com.

Product line of the brewery that makes local craft beers will include Bikini Blonde Lager, Big Swell IPA and Coconut Porter.
