Chesapeake Bornem will install a four-color perfecting Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105-4-P+L, which will use the coating unit as a dedicated inline die-cutter.
The press serves the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors and is ideal for the full range of leaflets and booklets produced by the the site.
According to Chesapeake, the new Speedmaster XL 105 will run alongside the company's range of letterpress, narrow web and digital printing machines and the average litho order is about 10,000. The press has been specified with a CutStar reel to sheet device.
The company said it will stock reels in three lightweight grammages that are interchanged quickly and easily.
Chesapeake Bornem has also selected a spectral color measurement device, Prinect Axis Control, which can measure and store Pantone colors.
