LOS ANGELES, CA(BRAIN) — Champion System will provide the official leaders' jerseys for the 2013 Amgen Tour of California, the race announced Friday.
The custom race jerseys will be awarded to the race leaders in various categories throughout the eight-day competition from May 12-19, 2013.
This is the first time the race has had an exclusive clothing partner.
"Being involved with the Amgen Tour of California is an extreme honor for all of us at Champion System," said Scott Kaylin, Champion System's president.
Besides the race jerseys, the race and Champion System will release?a co-branded tech apparel line in the spring. The line includes performance short- and long-sleeve tops, casual pants, tech polos, mechanic shirts, jackets and wind-guards.
"We have already received positive feedback on the new limited edition commemorative jersey and 2013 leader jerseys that are currently selling online amgentourofcaliforniastore.com," said Sean Ryan, vice president of AEG Merchandise. "The rollout of additional items over the next few months will present the greatest product line we have brought to market."
