German sports car manufacturer Porsche has revealed the fifth generation 911 GT3 at the ongoing 2013 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
The car is powered by the 3.8L six-cylinder boxer engine mated to the Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) that generates an output of 475hp, while offering acceleration of 0-60mph in 3.3S and a top speed of 195mph.
Scheduled to go on sale in the US by late 2013, the vehicle offers shorter gear ratios with closer spacing, faster shifting and shift paddles with shorter travel and increased tactile feedback.
Features of the car include active rear-wheel steering and optional full LED headlights.
The components, including crankshaft, valve gear, titanium connecting rods and forged pistons for the engine are claimed by the company to be specially designed for the car.
