Schneider Packaging Equipment will introduce the Robotic Vertical Carton/Case Loader (RVCL) as well as the E3 palletizer at Automate SM 2013, which will be held from 21 to 24 January in Chicago, Illinois, US.
RVCL has been designed for precise product handling, while the E3 palletizer for portable robotic palletizing.
The vision guided, four-axis M3 robotic arms of RVCL locate, inspect and orient product for nesting and placing. Complex shapes can also be packed tightly increasing sustainability.
RVCL's modular design increases throughput and can be configured to top load cartons, cases or trays and easily accommodates extra modules/robots for increased production.
The E3 palletizer simplifies handling multiple SKUs, often without any mechanical changeover, at a price point and small footprint, which can typically fit in the same space as a single person manual palletizing station.
According to the company, the portable E3 unit, which is equipped with fork pockets, can be transported by fork truck between lines for fluctuating production demands.
Suitable for pharmaceutical and food applications, the unit is available with product labeling and bar code reading for product tracking applications.
