American Signature here said it will open its Value City Furniture and American Signature stores on Thanksgiving evening for the first time this year.
In a release, the Top 100 company, with 126 store in 18 states, said its "Black Friday" prices will be available online Wednesday, Nov. 27, starting at 9 p.m., on Thanksgiving in stores from 9 p.m. to midnight and on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The retailer said consumers will be able to pre-shop furniture even before they receive the Black Friday ad or before the stores open, thanks to an exclusive Easy Pass technology.
"Customers can go online, create an account, add their favorite items to their cart, and merge their cart with their nearest store," the retailer said. When the prices are official, customers can either complete the purchase online or in-store.
"We know shopping during the holidays can be hectic and want to ensure our customers have an incredible Black Friday experience," said Steve Haffer, executive vice president of marketing and e-commerce."

The first 50 people in the store on Thursday and Friday will receive a free gift and the company is awarding one FaceBook fan per brand, $1,000 in free furniture and a limo ride during a Black Friday Shopping Spree contest.
