Energy management and automation specialist, Schneider Electric, has recently announced the general availability of the Aquis 7.0, an advanced software application for water distribution network management.
The company made its announcement at WEFTEC 2016 and say that the Aquis 7.0 reflects over 30 years of development at Schneider. The Aquis 7.0 improves control of water distribution networks by reducing operation and energy costs associated with water distribution activities. This is achieved by providing operators with information about the forecasted behaviour of their water networks which helps to reduce the impact of unplanned events before they happen.
Specific improvements that are now part of the Aquis 7.0 include faster, enhanced hydraulic engine management, faster load and save time of model files and enhanced find functionality, faster master/operator communications for better collaboration, extended system log facilities and an improved display of the control mode of pumps and valves.
