The CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group, Angela Brav, has joined the Mothercare board as non-exec director.
She is responsible for the management, growth, and profitability of InterContinental's European operations.
Prior to becoming Europe CEO in 2011, Brav was the CEO of the firm's North America division, supporting some 3,000 hotels and managing 250 company hotels.
Brav joins the Mothercare board on January 1st, 2013.
Commenting on the appointment, Alan Parker CBE, Chairman of Mothercare, said: "I am delighted that Angela is joining the Mothercare Board.
"Angela's extensive knowledge of operating a global hotel and hospitality organisation in a chief executive role, and her knowledge of franchising, will be a valuable asset to the company as we deliver our transformation and growth plan."
