Spring is just weeks away, and with the new season comes the dream of warm weather and open-road romance for top-down driving. It just so happens we have two German roadsters for sale from our test program that fit this bill.
Last month, we offered our recent sports car group for sale to the public, breaking from our tradition of selling cars to employees or simply trading them in on the next cars needed for our test program. We sold an Audi TT to a buyer from California, and the Boxster went to more-local shopper in New York. But we still have two cars left.
If you are interested in one of the low-mileage sports cars listed below, you can save about $10,000 over the price as-new and take delivery at the Consumer Reports test track in East Haddam, Connecticut. We'll even give you a tour of the facilities and a few laps on the handling track in your new car. (Learn how Consumer Reports tests cars.)
While they may have been driven enthusiastically, the cars have been well cared for, and worn tires have been replaced, if needed. The money from the sale of these, and all cars purchased for testing, goes back in our budget for acquiring future test cars.
