Japan-based automobile manufacturer Honda will recall 43,782 units of Fit Sport vehicles in the US, due to software problem.
The recall affects 2012-2013 model year Honda Fit Sport vehicles to update the vehicle stability assist system software.
According to the company, the vehicles equipped with certain tires may allow yaw rates that exceed certain the US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements.
The company had found out the problem in the vehicles during FMVSS compliance testing and claims that it is not aware of any related crashes or injuries.
The recall is expected to begin in May 2013 and the company plans to notify the affected customers through mail.
Earlier, the company was reported as planning to recall over 200,000 vehicles worldwide, due to problems in the vehicles' shift-interlock mechanism.
