CHEP, a provider of managed pallet pooling solutions, has announced a new contract for shipping platform solutions with Del Monte Fresh Produce, a marketer and distributor of fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.
CHEP has been the preferred shipping platform for Del Monte Fresh Produce in NA since 2006 as it aligns with customer requirements, lessens product damage and rejections, and meets the company's environmental sustainability objectives.
CHEP's US sales senior VP Michael Pooley said Fresh Del Monte and CHEP would continue to be long-term, strategic partners focusing on both productivity improvement and environmental sustainability issues.
"The CHEP business model has been tested by Del Monte and other great companies, and has consistently delivered value to the retail supply chain for more than 50 years," Pooley said.
Del Monte Fresh Produce (DMFP) transports branded bananas, melons and pineapples to supermarket chains, club stores, foodservice distributors and wholesalers across North America on CHEP pallets.
DMFP, part of the Fresh Del Monte Produce group, and is a vertically integrated producer, marketer and distributor of fresh & fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.
