Spanish company Thales Espana has launched a new computer application, EcoNet, which will provide EV drivers exact location of nearest charging station.
According to the company, the new application can be accessed from web portal or a mobile device with internet connection which will provide driver with the exact location of the nearest charging points on a map, find out the availability as well as to pre-book charging time.
The solution also provides data and history of consumption, calculates charging duration, allows to select optimal charging type, improves battery efficiency and life.
Thales new solution will also allow owners and drivers of EVs to plan and schedule a trip involving long-distance driving.
EcoNet has also participated in the Spanish Government's IBIL Centre, by designing the software to manage the charging points and for user management from the control centre.
The application will allow EV owners and drivers to better plan and schedule a trip requiring long-distance driving without the concern of exhausted battery.
