Steel Dynamics Structural and Rail Division Invested a New Heat-Treating Machine

Reportedly, Steel Dynamics Structural and Rail Division invested a new heat-treating machine at Columbia City, Indiana.

Mark D. Millett, the Chief Executive Officer of Steel Dynamics said this investment will allow the company to further expand and diversify its Structural and Rail Division's market in a capital efficient manner.

The capability of facility was up to 350,000 tons of standard strength and head hardened plain, carbon steel rails for railroad industry.

Meanwhile, the full production will be expected to ready in early 2016.

Moreover, it will enable the plant to offer one-stop-shop for all cut or welded rail products for customers.
