Models and Vehicle Was Unveiled by Mercedes-Benz

German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled ten models of Unimog along with two and three-axle variants of the low-entry Econic special-purpose vehicle.

The new vehicles are powered by the new BlueEfficiency Power medium-duty engine generation in special trucks, the four and six-cylinder engines that generate outputs in the range of 115kW (156hp) to 260kW (354hp).

Both the vehicle models are claimed to be compliant with the upcoming Euro VI standards and are based on the modular principle used for the Actros, Antos, Arocs, and Atego series.

The assembly of the new vehicles is scheduled to start at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Worth, Germany from September 2013.

Features of the new Unimog include a new traveling drive, an updated cab that offers all-round visibility and new hydraulic systems for implements.

The new Econic features new chassis, interior, and exterior and is claimed to offer reduced fuel consumption and lower costs for repair and maintenance.

Models of the new Unimog include the Unimog all-terrain vehicle and the Unimog implement carrier.
