South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor has unveiled the HND-9 sports coupe concept prior to its global debut at the upcoming 2013 Seoul Motor Show to be held during 28 March to 07 April 2013.
The new sports coupe is powered by a 3.3L V-6 turbo GDi engine, which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and generates maximum output of 365hp and an anticipated torque of 534Nm.
Claimed to be the ninth concept model developed by Hyundai Motor Group's R&D Center in Namyang, Korea, the new coupe incorporates Hyundai's 'fluidic sculpture' design language.
Featuring butterfly doors and dual tailpipes, the new HND-9 is a rear-wheel drive concept coupe incorporating a wide hexagonal front grille and spiral-shaped lines connected to the headlamps.
The new coupe concept, which is similar to the carmaker's current US market-only Hyundai Genesis, joins the company's earlier unveiled concepts including HCD-14 sedan and Veloster C3 hatchback.
