Indian craft beer firm Cerana Beverages has raised funding from private investors, in a move to launch its craft beer brand – Biru, across the country.
Cerana's proposed packaged craft beer brand will be available in top cities, beginning August this year.
Commenting on the launch, Cerana Beverages founder and CEO Ankur Jain was quoted by vccircle.com as saying that the company aims to meet the gap in the craft beer sector, with the launch of Biru.
"Biru creates an alternative brand which is edgy and fun, and above all creates a product which is delicious," Jain added.
Additionally, the funding will be used to launch its beer dispense network Craft Beer Hive in 200 outlets in Delhi and Mumbai cities.
Cerana Beverages offers Belgian Blonde Ale of Duvel, Fruit Beers of Liefmans, Trappist Beers of Chimay. The company has exclusive import and marketing rights from seven breweries in the country.
