Ericsson Faces Multiple Challenges in India

Due to the decline in the number of transactions and face continued regulatory uncertainty and fierce competition of Chinese competitors like Huawei, Ericsson may readjust its main business and human resources in India to reduce costs.

This Swedish company's sales in India dropped 34% last year, the biggest decline in a region of the 11 regions of the global ecosystem. In 2012, it dropped to 6.5 billion kronor (55.53 billion Indian rupees) from the previous year's 9.76 billion kronor (834 million Indian rupees). Compared to the decline is in the Nordic and Central Asia (25%), Western and central Europe (8%), Northeast Asia (5%) and the Mediterranean region (2%), the decline was worse.
