The HMC1048LC3B is a GaAs MMIC,general-purpose,double-balanced mixer that can be used as a downconverter with DC to 4GHz at the IF port and 2 to 18GHz at the RF port.The mixer requires no external components or matching circuitry and exhibits what is claimed to be excellent LO/RF and LO/IF isolation due to optimized balun structures.The device operates with LO drive levels from+9dBm to+17dBm and provides a typical input IP3 of 23dBm.Suited to downconversion in satellite transponder applications,the HMC1048LC3B is housed in a compact ceramic 3mm x 3mm SMT package.
