UK-based retailer Asda is recalling all packs of its 'Chosen by you' range of Beastie Bites, as the product contains mustard, celery and wheat which are not mentioned on the label, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The FSA has issued an allergy alert, advising consumers intolerant to the above mentioned ingredients not to eat the product being recalled.
The product being withdrawn is Asda Chosen by you Beastie Bites of 6 x 25g pack size. All 'Best before' date codes are affected in the recall.
Asda has withdrawn the affected product from sale and displayed notices in stores, explaining to customers the reason behind the recall. In addition, it will contact the relevant allergy support organizations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal.
Customers who have purchased this product can return it to the store for a full refund. No other Asda products are known to be affected.
