AGC Glass Europe Has Acquired The Total Share Capital of The Joint Venture

Through the acquisition of Scheuten’s stake in “Moustier4”, AGC Glass Europe has acquired the total share capital of the joint venture that constitutes the Belgium-based float production line located in the AGC Moustier plant. In parallel, both companies have concluded an agreement under which Scheuten buys float glass from AGC network in North Europe. 

This transaction confirms AGC’s strategy to invest in energy-efficient glass production units and to consolidate its footprint with a view to providing the market with high quality float-based glass products.

AGC Glass Europe

Based in Brussels, AGC Glass Europe produces, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction (external glazing and interior decorative glass), the automotive (original & replacement glass) and the solar sectors. It is the European branch of AGC Glass, the world's largest producer of flat glass. AGC Glass Europe operates over 100 sites throughout Europe and employs 15,000 employees.

Scheuten Glass

Scheuten, based in Venlo (The Netherlands), is a European manufacturer of high-quality glass designated for total solutions for buildings and infrastructure. In addition Scheuten glass-glass modules with integrated solar cells provide solutions for building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Scheuten employs over 1,200 staff.
