Petrochemical company in the US ExxonMobil has unveiled new metalized, surface-printable oriented polypropylene film Label-Lyte 50ML580, which is suitable for applications such as beverages, health and beauty care and household products.
Compatible with UV flexo, letterpress, screen and offset systems, as well as water-based flexo and solvent-based gravure systems, the new Label-Lyte 50ML580 OPP film for pressure sensitive label applications meets the needs of converters and brand owners.
According to ExxonMobil, the film features the company's coating over the metalized surface which provides improved metal adhesion and protection and its design helps to prevent the formation of pinholes and crazing.
The top coating of Label-Lyte 50ML580 film provides good print receptivity for a range of ink systems and consistent printing across multiple technologies.
ExxonMobil claims that the film presents stiffness for automatic label dispensing and its adhesive surface has been designed for broad functionality and adhesive system flexibility.
