Kas is making the move to additional home décor categories.
The rug vendor has announced it will launch its first pillows and poufs to kick off 2014. In addition, Kas will move into a new showroom in AmericasMart for the Jan. 7-14 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Area Rug Market.
"The market is changing and the furniture business is becoming a large piece of the overall home furnishings business" said Rao Yarlagadda, company president. "We want to provide a full array of trend accessories for our customers in these channels that will help enhance their business. We are working hard to ensure that these expanded businesses are operated with the same level of excellent service that our customers have come to expect from us."
The new showroom, in Merchandise Mart space 4-C-5, will provide Kas additional space to show off more than 200 new rugs and other products, officials said. The showroom will feature vignettes of new product as well as conference, office and relaxation/bar areas.
"2014 is projected to be a year of tremendous growth for us" said Wendy Reiss, vice president of key accounts. "We needed a space to adequately show what we are trying to do in these new product categories and also be able to show more of our expanding rug line."
