Touch Medical Solutions, a subsidiary of medical software and device company DMH International, has introduced a suite of medical imaging software.
The solution, which is launched under the brand name TouchPACS, is a software suite for the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) medical imaging market.
The PACS market, which was valued at approximately $2.8bn in 2010, is expected to reach to $5.4bn by 2017, according to the company.
DMH International CEO Rik Deitsch said many hospitals have already transitioned away from physical imaging such as film.
"TouchPACS addresses the $2.8 billion PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) medical imaging market and satisfies the US government requirements to create digital medical offices over the next several years," Deitsch added.
"We expect to begin aggressively marketing TouchPACS in the second quarter."
