Men's Wearhouse Are Embarking to Implement DeSL's Full Supply Chain Solution

Following on from their successful implementation of DeSL's PLM solution, Men's Wearhouse are now embarking on a Phase 2 project to implement DeSL's full supply chain solution.

Men’s Wearhouse was founded in 1973 and has grown to have 1,239 stores offering a full selection of designer, brand name and private label suits, sport coats, furnishing and accessories. Additionally, the company operates a global corporate apparel and workwear group consisting of TwinHill in USA and Dimensions and Alexandra in UK. Group annual sales revenues are in the region of $2.3 Billion

Will Silveria, Executive Vice President , Men’s Wearhouse states, "Now that we have implemented DeSL's PLM solution we have full control of our product development, are sharing on-line tech packs with our vendors along with time and action calendars and collaborative costing, the natural extension was to go to  full supply chain management.

This will involve creating and tracking purchase orders for fabrics, trims and finished products to deliver real time, global WIP tracking. Our vendors (factories and mills) will be receiving on-line purchase orders and updating progress in real time. Factories will receive fabric from the mills and issue materials to production. At any time we will know exactly what has been cut, what's in progress and what fabrics/trims are still in inventory - all at colour and size level. This will enable us to make more informed decisions and react faster to consumer demand."

Colin Marks, DeSL CEO states, "We've successfully implemented our PLM solution into one of the USA's largest retailers and it is a sign of their confidence in us that we have now moved to Phase 2. The PLM project has delivered the platform to enable Men's Wearhouse to essentially implement a global, real time, web based collaborative network.

This incorporates internal teams, factories and mills covering all processes from initial product design right through to quality management and delivery of the finished products into their distribution centres. There are few solutions available today which can deliver this level of functionality and the degree of control required by Men's Wearhouse."

DeSL is a global company delivering integrated web based solutions for the Fashion, Apparel, Textile and Footwear sectors. The company has a global customer base covering United Kingdom, United States, Western Europe, China, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Mauritius, Bangladesh and North Africa.
