General Motors Recalling 106 Vehicles Due to Improper Fixing of Fasteners

General Motors is recalling 106 vehicles due to improper fixing of fasteners which could lead to a loss of steering control.

The affected vehicles includes 2014 variant of Buick Regal, Chevrolet Camaro, Cadillac XTS and Chevrolet Impala.

The issue with the torqued fasteners can result in separation of lower control arm and the lower ball join, separation of steering intermediate shaft or steering gear, resulting in loss of steering which could lead to a crash.

The recall has been made official now by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but reportedly the car maker has already started notifying the owners.

The dealers who sold the vehicle will inspect the fasteners for the issue and if it is found then the dealer will resolve the issue for free.
