German automaker Audi has introduced the 2014 A8 sedan, ahead of its global debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in September 2013.
The improved sedan version is offered with four powertrain versions including two gasoline engines that generate an output from 310hp to 435hp and two diesel units producing an output from 258hp to 385hp.
Audi is also offering the hybrid version of the 2014 A8 sedan which is powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine and electric motor that generate an overall output of 245hp and 480 Nm of torque.
All the engines are mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, while an optional sport differential for the rear axle will also be offered, which distributes the power between the rear wheels whenever required.
Features of the sedan include Audi cylinder on demand (COD) system, active noise cancellation (ANC), adaptive cruise control (ACC) and in addition to pre sense basic safety system that assists in detecting and avoiding hazards.
The 2014 A8 sedan is scheduled to go in sale in Germany in November 2013.
