Cargill Poland has divested its Polish pig and cattle entity Agro Provimi to meat processor PKM Duda for PLN28.1m (€6.7m).
PKM Duda funded about 10% of the acquisition deal through its own resources, while the rest was managed through a loan, reported Globalmeatnews.com
Cargill Poland is focused on animal feed production. It operates runs 11 production facilities in the country.
Agro Provimi operates in Bieganów, which is in the western region of the country.
Based in Warsaw, PKM Duda is a leading Polish red meat slaughtering and packaging firm.
The firm processes pork, beef and game meat.
The Polish meat processors last month reported that its net profit was down at PLN432,000 ($115,182) compared to PLN2m during the same period of a year ago.
The second quarter revenue was PLN355.7m as against PLN442.9m a year ago.
