According to Japanese media, Honda Motor published its new car sales in China of May. It is known that the total sales was 54,564, increasing by 4.6%.
Due to the diaoyu incident, Honda sales in China continued to decline. Last year, the sales declined 40.5% Y-O-Y in September, 53.5% in October, 29.2% in November, 19.2% in December. Due to the Spring Festival, sales in January increased by 22% Y-O-Y. After that, the sales was in negative growth for three months. It dropped by 27.1% in February, 6.6% in March, 2.4% in April. The sales didn't get rid of the weakness until May.
Besides, Honda's sales in China from Jan to May was 255,540, declined by 2.6%. It is known that Honda sales in China of 2012 was 598,577, dropping 3.1%.
