Daimler signs a rent agreement with Beijing Wangjing New Industrial Area Integrated Development Co. ,Ltd. enabling itself to own a brand new R&D base with 13,000 square meters in China.
“China is an important market. Daimler has been increasing investment in R&D of China and applies our latest technologies on a timely manner. It is special important for us to carter for Chinese users,” said by Klaus Mannsperger, Vice Executive President of Daimler China Investment, “we will conduct R&D work better in this new environment.”
“Looking into the globe and deepening locality” has been a strategic thinking of Daimler in R&D field. Currently Daimler has around 250 technicians and experts in Chinese R&D team who shoulders more work in R&D work including the development and design Chinese exclusive models, HMI, remote real-time solutions, power drive system test and authentication, etc. Mercedes Benz advanced design center established in 2009 applies what it is inspired from China into its design of vehicles.
