Taipei,Sept.28,2012(CENS)--Taiwan's Ministry of Economy Affairs(MOEA)recently organized two business alliance conferences,namely"Taiwanese Business Homebound Investment Summit Conference 2012"and"Taiwan Business Alliance Conference 2012,"to promote investments on the island by Taiwanese and foreign businesses,with investments to total NT$107 billion(US$3.56 billion).
The"Taiwanese Business Investment Re-shoring Summit"scheduled for September 28 have signed up 550 Taiwanese companies from China,Southeast Asia,the United States and Canada to attend so far,according to Y.C.Chiu,Director-General of Department of Investment Services,MOEA,who says such investments would outstrip NT$32 billion(US$1.06 billion)this year,with at least 15 Taiwanese businesses in tourism,hospitality,F&B(food and beverage),textile,and machinery having inked LOI(Letter of Intent)with MOEA.

NT$50 billion(US$1.66 billion)this year,with cumulative investment already reaching NT$41.9 billion(US$1.36 billion)in first eight months this year.
The"Taiwan Business Alliance Conference 2012"has dozens of foreign businesses willing to ink LOI with MOEA to show interest in investment in Taiwan,with the total to reach NT$75 billion(US$2.5 billion)to likely hit the new historical record.
The MOEA will also invite foreign business operators including Japanese UNIQLO,German DHL,Switzerland-based Process Brand Evolution,French Accor and American IBM to share investment experiences in Taiwan.
