The Market Share of LCV Vehicles Increased in Foreign

Russian GAZ group light commercial vehicle sales fell 0.7% from Jan.-Oct. in 2012 compared with the same period last year. The previous two years, the market share of foreign cars increased: in 2011, an increase of 37% to 71,000 vehicles; in 2011, an increase of 27.4% to 90,500 vehicles. According to GAZ Group, the growth of sales in this two years thanks to the modernization of the GAZ car lineup.

Russian domestic market demand of Vehicles declined in 2012, except for the GAZ light commercial vehicles. Another reason was that the consumers were waiting for the new car of ГАЗель. GAZ Group predicted that the sales in 2012 will be flat with 2011. GAZ Group President show a great hope on ГАЗель vehicle in 2013.

Light commercial vehicles of GAZ Automobile Group to other CIS countries market export quantity growed, the main sales countries was the former Soviet Union. The exports quantity of GAZ Automobile Group grew 13% from Jan.-Oct., to 11,300 vehicles. Generally, GAZ light commercial vehicle sales grew 1.1%, increased to 8.3875 million vehicles.
