According to data released by Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s output of galvanized steel sheets totaled 2.96 million tons in the first quarter of this year, increasing by 5.1% from a quarter ago but falling by 2.8% year on year. In the given period of time, the country’s shipments of galvanized sheets totaled 2.9 million tons, falling by 3.2% year on year but rising by 0.8% quarter on quarter.
In March alone, Japan’s production of galvanized sheets totaled 1 million tons, rising by 14.3% form a month ago but falling by 3.4% year on year.
