Accroding to report, Brazil’s Siderúrgica Norte Brasil (Sinobrás), the subsidiary of Aco Cearense group, may raise its long product output double by 2015. It will be about the volume which is currently imported by the group.
The new capacity will bring about 700,000 tons every year for rebar and wire rods from current 360,000 tons. The investment will be around US$100 million. The output increase will meet more demand from local construction sector. The company expects the demand for the products will rise by 8% this year, especially in the north and northeastern regions.
