Turkey’s exports of wire rods totaled 100,271 tons in March, rising by 30.3% from a month ago but falling by 18.2% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the export prices averaged at US$616/ton, decreasing from US$643/ton in a month ago. In the first three months of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled 297,470 tons, remaining flat in comparison of the figures in the same period of a year ago. In the given period of time, the country’s export revenues generated by wire rods amounted to US$181 million, down by 6% year on year.
