China Knowledge reported that China saw its cargo throughput of ports above designated size reach 840 million metric tons in November this year, reflecting a YoY growth of 8.7%.
The Ministry of Transport said that in November, China saw its cargo throughput from coastal port hit 560 million metric tonnes, while that from inland port was 280 million metric tonnes.
In the first eleven months of this year, the cargo throughput of ports above designated size increased 6.9% YoY to 8.91 billion metric tonnes.
Meanwhile, the country’s container throughput rose 9% YoY to 15.28 million twenty foot equivalent units last month, leading its total container throughput for the first eleven months of this year to 146.1 million TEUs, up 8.1% from a year earlier.
