Dubai Based Ship Building and Repair Firm Is Looking to Enter The Syrian Market

Mr Khamis Buamim chairman of Drydocks World said that the Dubai based ship building and repair firm is looking to enter the Syrian market via a consortium of regional and possibly international partners.

Mr Buamim said that he saw a lot of opportunities in Syria as most of the trade can be channeled there through the coastline. While he didn't put a figure to his company's planned investment in Syria Drydocks World 's interest would be limited to the marine cluster side -ship repairs and maintenance as well as fabrication.

Mr Buamim had told last month that Drydocks World restructuring USD 2.2 billion of debt was looking to enter the Saudi Arabian and Turkey as part of its expansion plans.
