There is international interest in a mining discovery in the province that involves Iron Ore, but this find is not in Labrador. 4 Corners Mining Corporation has a significant discovery of iron ore, titanium and vanadium resources about 50 kilometers from Stephenville on the Burgeo Highway.
Mr Vic French spokesperson said that several internationally based mining groups are interested in the project. He said that the vast tonnage potential at the 4 Corners project is based on drilling results.
Mr French said that a recent recovery in iron ore prices on world markets is another factor driving interest in the property. The project is located close to roads and port facilities.
