Lamborghini's Revenue in 2012 Grew 46% Year on Year

On March 12, Lamborghini announced the financial data of 2012. Last year, its operating income increased to 469 million dollars from 322 million dollars year-on-year, an increase of 45.7%.

Lamborghini’s global sales were 2,083 vehicles last year, 1,602 vehicles in 2011, increased 30.0% year on year. Lamborghini's global market generally divided into three blocks, Europe accounted for 29%, Americas’ accounted for 28%, the Asia-Pacific accounted for 35% (15% in China), the Middle East and South Africa accounted for 8%. Lamborghini’s sales in Europe last year rose 34%; while in the Americas, a year-on-year growth of 50%, US sales rose 53%; Asia-Pacific sales rose 9%.

Among various models, the new Aventador LP 700-4’s sales were 922 cars. Gallardo reached 1,161 vehicle, the sales have exceeded 13,000 units since it has been sell.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini said that more than 70% were outside Europe market sales of all the vehicle production last year.
