The Australian dollar sat just under 105.5 US cents heading into the start of the local trading day.
At 6.30am AEST the Australian dollar was at 105.48 US cents, up from yesterday’s local close of 105.21 US cents.
During the overnight offshore session, the Australian dollar moved between a low of 105.43 US cents and a high of 105.82 US cents.
