China Rank First in Global Crude Steel Production of 2012

Japanese media reported that World Steel Association published crude steel production ranking of 2012. According to the data, China ranked first with the production of 716.5 million tons, increasing by 3.1% Y-O-Y. Its market share was 46.3%. Japan ranked second with 107.2 million tons, decreasing by 0.3%. America's production was 88.7 million tons, ranking third.

From the enterprises point of view, Arcelor Mittal ranked first, whose sales was 93.6 million tons. The second was NSSC whose production was 47.96 millions tons. The following is China Hebei Steel and Baosteel Group.

Besides, in 2012, global total crude steel production was 1547.8 million tons, increasing by 1.2%.
