Brazil's motor vehicle output in October this year decreased by 2.5 percent from the previous month, and fell by nine percent year on year to 293,328 units (excluding agricultural vehicles), according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the first ten months of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased 16 percent year on year to 2,677,528 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 306,859 units in October this year, up 3.6 percent compared to September, but decreasing by 7.1 percent year on year. 17.1 percent of this figure consisted of imported new vehicles. In the first ten months of the current year, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 8.9 percent year on year to 2,833,333 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in October this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 23,503 units, decreasing by 9.7 percent compared to the previous month and down 54.6 percent year on year. In the January-October period this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 284,810 units, down 40.4 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in October the revenue generated by Brazilian motor vehicle exports (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 0.2 percent month on month to $718.42 million, declining by 41.2 percent year on year. In the first ten months of the current year, in Brazil the revenue generated by motor vehicle exports (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 32.1 percent year on year to $7.45 billion.
