The Volume of China's Rail Freight Downs by 3.75 Percent

In June this year, China's rail freight volume totaled 310.15 million mt, down by 3.75 percent month on month, following the month-on-month increase observed in May, as announced by China Railway Corporation. In June, the volumes of coal, oil and food transported by railway in China amounted to 182.14 million mt, 11.62 million mt and 8.26 million mt, up 2.2 percent, 8.8 percent and 6.2 percent respectively on month-on-month basis.

In the first six months of the current year, China's total rail freight volume amounted to 1.934 billion mt, down slightly year on year.
