ET reported that Indian aluminium prices edged up by 0.13% to INR 115.75 per kilogram at futures market as speculators created fresh positions, supported by rising demand at spot markets even as metal weakened overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Aluminium for delivery in January gained 15 paise or 0.13% to INR 115.75 per kilogram with a business turnover of 26 lots. The metal for delivery in December traded higher by 5 paise or 0.04% to INR 114.90 per kilogram with a business turnover of 1,040 lots.
Marketmen said that the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade was mostly supported by a pick up in demand at spot markets but metal's weakness at the London Metal Exchange capped the gains.
