Turkey exported 818,254 tons of rebar including round bars in March, rising by 23.9% month on month but falling by 4% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the country’s export revenues generated by rebar totaled US$488 million in March, increasing by 24.1% from a month ago but falling by 10.8% year on year.
In the first quarter of this year, the country’s rebar exports amounted to 2 million tons, falling by 4.1% from the previous quarter and falling by 11.7% year on year. Meanwhile, the country’s rebar export revenues totaled US$1.2 billion, falling by 18% year on year.
