According to statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the global crude stainless steel production totaled 26.10 million tons in the first three quarters of 2012, rising by 2.9% year on year.
In the given period of time, China’s stainless steel output surged by 11.4% year on year to 11.40 million tons, accounting for 44% of the global output.
Meanwhile, Latin America’s crude stainless steel production in the first three quarter of 2012 totaled 1.8 million tons, falling by 5.5% year on year.
