The People's Bank of China (PBOC) revealed that four major Chinese banks recorded new loans totaling CNY 245.528 billion in April 2013. By the end of the month, their loan balance had reached CNY 26.9 trillion.
Earlier data from the central bank said that China recorded new loans of CNY 792.9 billion in April, with the growth increasing CNY 111.1 billion from a year earlier.
