According to foreign trade department Secex, Brazilian iron ore exports totaled USD 2.64 billion in November, with daily average shipment figures down 28.2% YoY.
The country exported 32.6 million tonne of iron ore in November from 32.7 million tonne in October and 31.8 million tonne in the same month last year.
The average export price in November was USD 81.0 per tonne compared with USD 80.9 per tonne in October and USD 115.6 per tonne YoY.
Iron ore has been Brazil's main export since 2000. Last year the country shipped 331 million tonne worth a record USD 41.8 billion, giving it a 16.3% share in the country's total exports.
