Waagner Biro Has Won a Slew of Bridge Building and Maintenance Contracts

Steel engineering company Waagner Biro has won a slew of bridge building and maintenance contracts in the UAE.

The firm has been awarded deals worth USD 7.6 million by the RTA for the maintenance of Al Maktoum Bridge and the Floating Bridge in Dubai over 5 year period. The 365 meters long, six lane Floating Bridge was built by Waagner in 2007 and was the first of its kind in the emirate.

It has also bagged USD 2.3 million subcontract from Al Naboodah to build four pedestrian steel bridges in Jebel Ali and USD 1.4 million deal from Wade Adams for an identical one bridge project in Sharjah.
