China Steel Structure Affiliated with The Largest Steelmaker

CENS reported that China Steel Structure Co Ltd a steel structure manufacturer affiliated with the largest steelmaker, China Steel Corp on the island, is close to signing a big contract for constructing steel structure for a 27 store building located in Myanmar's capital, Yangon.

According to industry sources, this contract is of great significance to the Taiwanese company, for Myanmar's government pays intense attention to the construction of the 27 store building, which will be the highest in the country, and earlier sent officials to Taiwan to visit the Taipei 101 skyscraper, of which steel structure is built by China Steel Structure.

From another aspect, the contract, if signed, may open the door wider for China Steel Structure to Myanmar, where infrastructure and economic development has accelerated.

The Taiwanese company, whose staff members just finished a field trip to the building's planned location, will begin talks with the Myanmar side over details of the contract in the short term.

China Steel Structure has remained prosperous over the past few years, whose sales revenue for this November totaled NTD 1.554 billion, sharply up nearly 30% from October to hit the second highest of all time. The company is expected to finish the whole year with EPS (earnings per share) of NTD 3, with annual shipment to reach 180,000 metric tons of steel structures.

Presently, the company's production lines have been fully booked through the first half of 2013. The company, targeting construction tenders for landmark buildings and high-tech firms' new factories and planning to step up exploring overseas markets to drive its business growth, will score better performance in the year than 2012 if winning the contract.
