French Producers' Manufacturing Prices Fell by 0.3 Percent Compared to November

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in December last year producer prices in French industry fell by 0.3 percent compared to November, following a month-on-month fall of 0.5 percent recorded in November, after the rising trend which had been observed since July of the same year. Producer prices for manufactured products fell by 0.3 percent in December compared to November and were up 1.4 percent compared to the same month of 2011.

In December last year, prices for imported manufactured products fell by 0.3 percent month on month, while a month-on-month increase of 0.3 percent was recorded for transport equipment. On year-on-year basis, imported manufactured product prices rose 0.9 percent, while transport equipment import prices saw a 1.1 percent decline. Import prices for manufactured products in France in December fell 0.1 percent month on month and were up 0.7 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
